Hello,
Your photography is so mysterious and gorgeous. We would like to use some of your photography in a music video if you are interested.
We are from the band “Cherry Lipsâ€. We are singers and you can see our work/videos at www .myspace.com/cherrylipsxoxo (there's a link on my page too, I can't send a link in this message)
We have finished rough cuts of 14 music videos. However we are looking for artists for the purpose of putting their work in our music video backgrounds, through using blue-screen and fx.
Our theme is heaven and hell and dreams. We are therefore looking for any images that are ethereal and surrealistic or even weird, as if they came from dreams.
We are not an established band yet, so we have no one backing us financially except ourselves and other people in the movie industry, (and sound recording studios) who feel that we are that talented that they are willing to do some work for us for free.
However, we have been written about quite a lot in several extremely famous publications that have audiences in the millions, so we feel that we have attracted enough positive response that we feel that we have something worth-while pursuing. We have also been interviewed on quite a few television stations internationally.
We feel confident that our work will when finished meet the standards of MTV, whose audience we seek to attract.
We therefore seek other artists to help us in our journey, who are willing to do it for the purpose of international exposure. We cannot pay for submissions, however, we can promise that we will give each artist we choose exposure by linking their artwork to our music videos .
How we will do this is that we are going to publicize the final product and what we did. Any interested audiences/media then will be able to go to our site and not only look up our work and our videos but also the artists attached. We will also place links to their sites to help promote further financial reward in that the artists can sell their works on their own sites through having been seen through ours.
It’s a win win situation for everyone all round because in the end everyone will get a lot of exposure and all they have to do is submit work that has already been made/done, at the click of a mouse button…
We have gotten a very good response so far and there have been a few artists whose work is so good that we have dedicated a whole video to their art work. However we have fourteen videos so we still have a lot of work to go..
Special effects are a very time consuming and expensive process and so we expect the videos will take 6 months to a year to develop to completion.
We are submitting this proposal to you because we like your work. We are very selective and we only choose art that we think is outstanding. So if you would like to participate, please submit any works that you are interested in us viewing/any pictures that you think would fit with our theme that you are willing to share and want to be seen in our videos for the benefit of publicity. Naturally your name will be next to your art work in context with ours and with a link to your site.
One of the things we are trying to do is to create a more upscale image, (as opposed to sexy) so we will be most likely wearing either glamorous evening gowns or otherwise very weird designer type outfits (reminiscent of Jean Paul Gautier) against strangely ethereal settings. (Sort of like the movie ‘The cell’ with Jennifer Lopez), so that is ultimately the ‘look’ we are going for..
Please write back with permission if you are interested and then I will choose the specific shots.

Wanns de hinnen wëlls d'Fotoen gin, schéck hinnen d'éischt en Non-use agreement deen beseet dass se d'Fotoen just kënnen fir hir Videoen an soss guer näischt gebrauchen, dat sollen se der dann per Post zréckschécken. Wann se dat net wëllen maachen dann géif ech d'Fanger dovun loossen.
